Wedding Masterclass
The Flower Bank’s 2011 Wedding Masterclass was a tremendous success - attracting florists from Cumbria, Newcastle, Yorkshire and Scotland.
Internationally-renowned floral designers Richard Haslam and Helen Jamieson demonstrated an array of bridal bouquets and arrangements with top tips on how to get the most out of Flower Bank accessories.
“There was a terrific buzz around the place and the feedback from florists attending has been so positive and encouraging,” said Flower Bank director Helen Wilson.
Brenda Dowding, proprietor of Gardenalia, a regular Flower Bank customer praised Richard and Helen.
“They work so well together and keep coming up with fantastic ideas and new ways of keeping brides happy on their big day,” she said.
“I do an awful lot of wedding work each year but there is always something else to learn and I went away with lots of inspiration that I can pass on to my customers.”
Hilary Porter, of Perfectly Planted, was equally impressed.
“ The Flower Bank hosts great events like this, it was amazing value and there was a fantastic atmosphere around the place,” she said.
“More and more brides are looking for something different and I learned quite a few new techniques.”
Florist Karl Bowman added: “This was my first Flower Bank masterclass but I’ll definitely be back - Richard and Helen are great demonstrators and eager to pass on their knowledge from many years in the business.”
