International floral designers Miranda ter Voorde and Helen Jamieson turned the heads of flowers and visitors at the Flower Bank’s September 5th Open Day. Utilising some of the company’s new ranges of sundries, the designers injected inspiration and innovation into their floral creations. Customers, old and new, travelled from Edinburgh, the Borders, Yorkshire, County Durham, Settle and Cumbria to see the latest trends and to stock up on some exciting new products. “The feedback has once again been really positive with new customers saying how much they enjoyed their first visit and that they would be back in the near future,” said Flower Bank director Helen Wilson. “We’re already planning our Christmas Open Day on Sunday October 3 which we expect to be particularly busy.” It was Miranda’s first visit to The Flower Bank but she promised to return. “I had a fantastic day and the Flower Bank really is no ordinary wholesaler,” she said. “They really know how to look after their customers and go the extra distance to keep everyone happy.” Flower Bank favourite Helen Jamieson was equally enthusiastic. “I love travelling over to Cumbria from Newcastle as there is always a really positive atmosphere and a terrific buzz about the place,” she said. “The new lines of sundries are fabulous and florists were snapping them up. Everyone needs to keep looking for new ideas and new products and The Flower Bank keeps ahead of the game. “It is leading the way with new designs and its reputation for quality service is spreading across the country. More and more florists are coming to The Flower Bank for their supplies.” The Flower Bank’s Christmas Open Day is on Sunday October 3 between 10am and 4pm. Helen Jamieson will be demonstrating once again and guests will be served mulled wine and a hog roast. “Everyone is welcome,” added Helen, “and we’ll be unveiling all our latest festive sundries.”
